Kamalini organised visits to women-led businesses

Wednesday, 18 March 2026

Kamalini organised two Entrepreneurship Visits to Sandhya Raman’s Studio and Production Center and Ruchi Bhatia’s Food Delivery Center, for students aspiring to work or run their businesses.

Sandhya Raman, a textile activist with a special focus on dance costumes, is deeply committed to sustainability, recycling and zero-waste practices.

During their visit to her design studio and production center, students observed firsthand the precision and finishing techniques, gaining a clearer understanding of how these details influence customer appeal. She also explained, in simple terms, how to price products effectively and build lasting customer relationships and highlighted the importance of honesty, consistent quality and integrating zero- waste principles into the work flow.

Ruchi Bhatia runs a successful food delivery business from her home. A gutsy and hardworking woman, she overcame several hardships and challenges in her life and gradually built a thriving food delivery system through dedication, high-quality service, while maintaining modest overheads.

She spoke about the lessons she learned and how she turned challenges into opportunities. Twenty years on, she now finally has the capacity and leisure to enjoy life on her own terms.

Both the visits inspired students and gave real- life insights into production, customer satisfaction, budgeting and ethical business values.
