Annual Educational Trip

Expanding Horizons

Most of the students who attend Kamalini, have very limited opportunity for travel. Kamalini therefore tries to organize trips for each batch of students to places of interest that will give them exposure to culture, beauty, history and commerce to expand their horizons and stimulate the desire to travel and learn.

The students look forward to this day with a lot of anticipation. Spending a whole day with their friends, exploring new places and experiences – makes the day a wonderful memory. Each year the itinerary varies and is packed with visits to historical monuments, art exhibitions, entrepreneurial events and major landmarks. The day concludes with a delightful picnic lunch.

This year on February 13, 2025 students visited Red Fort and, on the way, were shown other major historical and educational sites in Delhi. A knowledgeable guide helped the students appreciate the grandeur and history of Red Fort. A picnic in the Millennium Park and seeing the tulips blooming in Shanti Path brought the day to a close.

Previous trips have included visits to Waste to Wonder, Purana Qila, Lotus temple, Nature Bazaar, Qutub Minar, Nehru Park, and Sunder Nursery. At Nature Bazaar, the students were inspired by interacting with craftspeople and entrepreneurs from across the country, gaining insights into successful design, quality craftsmanship, and marketing. Meeting successful women from similar backgrounds was particularly motivating.

These trips are among the many experiences organized by Kamalini to fuel the aspirations of the students for the future.
